HOUSTON, TX – June 2026 – The Third Coast Renegades, Houston's defending Gulf Division champions of the Sport Fishing Championship (SFC), captured first place at the Baypoint Billfish Open, held June 25 - 27, delivering a commanding performance that reinforces the team's position among the SFC's elite.

The Baypoint Billfish Open is one of the SFC's marquee Gulf Division stops, and the win adds another first-place finish to a program already known for its consistency. The victory echoes the standard the Renegades set in 2025, when they posted four first-place finishes and claimed the Gulf Division title, earning a berth in the Zane Grey Championship Playoffs in Cabo San Lucas.

Aboard their 60' Spencer Sportfisher, Magnifico, captained by Drake Sawyer and anchored on the water by team owner and lead angler Garrett Frazier, the Renegades fished with the precision and poise that has defined their program all season. The team's performance throughout the three-day event reflected the depth and discipline that comes from competing at the highest level of professional offshore fishing.

A Texas Program Built for the Long Game

The SFC is the fastest-growing offshore fishing league in the world, featuring 13 angling clubs competing across seven Atlantic and six Gulf Division tournaments, plus shared events, all building toward the Zane Grey Championship Playoffs in Cabo San Lucas each October. The Renegades earned their Playoff berth in 2025 as Gulf Division Champions.
